Built in Canada

Practice management software that actually understands Canada

Your data stays in Canadian data centres. Cue knows Canadian tax law, GST/HST, and what freelancers in your city actually earn. Priced in CAD — not a USD price with an asterisk.

Hosted in Canada

Supabase ca-west-1 (Calgary) and Vercel yul1 (Montréal). Your client data, invoices, and business records never leave Canadian jurisdiction.

Priced in CAD

Real CAD pricing from the first page you see through to your Stripe receipt. No conversion surprises.

AI that knows Canada

Cue is trained on Statistics Canada data. GST/HST, T2125 codes, CCA classes, provincial benchmarks — all built in.

Your data never leaves Canada

Most practice management software is built in the US and runs on US infrastructure. That means your client data, invoices, contracts, and business records are stored on servers subject to US law — including laws that allow government access without your knowledge.

Businys runs on Canadian infrastructure end-to-end. Database in Calgary (Supabase ca-west-1). Compute in Montréal (Vercel yul1). PIPEDA-compliant by default — no cross-border transfer disclosures required, because there are no cross-border transfers.

There's an additional benefit most people don't know about: Canada holds an EU adequacy decision — meaning the European Commission formally recognizes Canadian privacy protections as equivalent to GDPR. If you ever serve European clients, hosting in Canada is already your compliance story. No Standard Contractual Clauses. No additional paperwork.

An AI assistant that actually knows how to run a Canadian business

Generic AI tools give you advice built on US data. BLS wage figures from Texas. Section 179 deductions that don't exist in Canada. Seasonal patterns for the US Sun Belt. Cue is different — it's grounded in Statistics Canada data and CRA tax rules.

  • Your T2125 business activity code

The field that trips up every first-time filer. Cue knows the correct CRA code for all 26 practices.

  • GST/HST registration and your provincial rate

The $30,000 threshold, your province's combined rate, input tax credits, and quarterly remittance timing.

  • CCA equipment classes — not Section 179

Class 50 for your laptop. Class 8 for your camera gear. Class 12 for software. Half-year rule included. Section 179 is American.

  • What freelancers in your practice actually earn in Canada

Statistics Canada income data — P25, median, P75 — for all 26 practices. Not BLS figures from Texas.

  • Your province's market context

Toronto rates trend 12% above the national median. Calgary 15% above. Montreal 8% below. Cue accounts for where you actually work.

  • Canadian seasonal patterns

Your landscaping season runs May–September, not March–November. Your wedding peak is August, not October. The B4 seasonal playbook uses Canadian LFS data, not US averages.

  • When to raise your rates

Canadian service price inflation hit 4.6% in 2023. If you haven't raised rates since 2022, Cue will tell you — and show you why.

  • RRSP as your primary tax tool

Self-employed Canadians get the full 18% contribution room with no employer pension reduction. Cue knows the deadline and the math.

Income data sourced from Statistics Canada T1 Family File, Survey of Self-Employment, and Survey of Household Spending (2021–2023). Statistics Canada Open Licence.

Canadian privacy law. By default.

PIPEDA — Canada's federal privacy law for commercial organizations — governs how Businys collects, uses, and protects your data. Because we're a Canadian company running Canadian infrastructure, compliance isn't a feature we've bolted on. It's the foundation we built on.

If you're in Quebec, Law 25 (Bill 64) requirements are handled. If you serve European clients, Canadian data residency already satisfies GDPR's third-country transfer rules — Canada's adequacy decision has been in place since 2002.

The United States has no federal privacy law equivalent to PIPEDA. Storing your business data with a US provider means operating under a patchwork of state laws and federal statutes that can compel disclosure without your knowledge. Canadian jurisdiction is meaningfully stronger protection.

26 practices. Every one built for how you actually work.

Photography. Fitness. Landscaping. Consulting. Cleaning. Wedding planning. Hair and barber. Massage therapy. Tutoring. Tattoo. Yoga. And 15 more. Each practice has its own vocabulary, workflow stages, and features — plus Cue intelligence grounded in how that practice actually runs in Canada.

One subscription covers every practice you run. Switch between them without switching tools.
